Welcome to Sweden! Upon arrival, join the coach transfer to your hotel. Depending on timing, enjoy free time to explore Stockholm independently before the tour begins.
Overnight in Stockholm.
Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy a 3-hour guided Stockholm tour seeing City Hall on the waterfront and the 600-room Baroque Royal Palace. Walk through 13th-century Gamla Stan’s cobblestone streets. Afternoon coach to Linköping, stopping at Trosa for wooden houses & riverside views.
Overnight in Linköping.
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Göta Canal lock staircases. Coach to Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren’s hometown. Enjoy free time or an optional visit to Astrid Lindgren Näs. En route to Karlskrona, stop at a moose park to observe these impressive animals in a natural setting.
Overnight in Karlskrona.
Breakfast at hotel. Coach along Sweden’s scenic south coast. Stop at Laxens Hus for a salmon fishing intro, continue via Kivik to the Stones of Ale natural monument. Final stop in Ystad, famous from Wallander novels, before arriving at shores of Öresund.
Overnight in Malmö.
Breakfast at hotel. Guided Malmö city tour covering its coastal history. Midday coach north stopping in charming Halmstad. Proceed to Marstrand island, a renowned west coast seaside resort. Arrive early evening in the picturesque Gothenburg area.
Overnight in King.
Breakfast at hotel. Guided Gothenburg tour of canals, harbor, historic Haga district’s wooden houses, Avenyn Avenue, and Feskekôrka fish church to learn its maritime history. Afternoon drive to explore scenic Läckö Castle. Conclude with coach drive.
Overnight in Örebro.
Breakfast at hotel. Guided Örebro walking tour viewing the island castle exterior. Coach to Mariefred to see colorful wooden houses & lakeside views. Visit Gripsholm Castle, a former Vasa royal residence. Return to Stockholm for free time.
Overnight in Stockholm.
Breakfast at hotel. The Sweden journey ends. Depending on departure time, enjoy a final stroll through Stockholm or a traditional Swedish cinnamon bun (kanelbulle). Take the included coach transfer to the airport at your scheduled time.
