Arrival at Harstad/Narvik Airport: collect luggage and pick up rental vehicle for self-drive trip.
Drive to Harstad on Hinnøya Island (gateway to Arctic north). Enjoy coastal landscapes, local cuisine, and untouched archipelago.
Drive: ~45 km / ~28 mi (~45 mins). Overnight in Harstad.
Breakfast at hotel. Drive north toward Vesterålen Islands (above Arctic Circle).
Travel through farmlands, white-sand beaches, dramatic fjords, and alpine mountains along western coastal roads to Andenes on Andøya Island.
Drive: ~190 km / ~118 mi (~3.5–4 hrs). Overnight in Andenes.
Breakfast at hotel. In early afternoon, visit Andenes Whale Watching Centre & Whale Museum to learn about marine life.
Board boat for a 2–4 hour whale safari (sperm, orca, or humpback whales).
Local driving only. Overnight in Andenes.
Breakfast at hotel. Explore Andøya Island via the Norwegian Scenic Route between Bjørnskinn and Andenes.
Drive past beaches and mountains, stop at Bleik fishing village, admire Bukkekjerka rock formation, and spot wildlife (seals, eagles, whales).

Breakfast at hotel. Full day at leisure in Svolvær.
Optional activities: kayaking, cycling, coastal walks, or relaxing and soaking in Arctic atmosphere around town and nearby islands.
