Pick up rental vehicle at airport and drive to Harstad (~45 km / 45 mins) on Hinnøya island. Explore this coastal gateway town, known for local cuisine, music festivals, and untouched archipelago.

Drive north to Vesterålen Islands (~190 km / 3.5–4 hrs). Travel through farmlands, white-sand beaches, fjords, and alpine mountains along the western coastline to Andenes on Andøya Island.

Visit Andenes Whale Watching Centre and Whale Museum. Board a boat for a 2–4 hour whale safari to spot sperm whales, orcas, or humpback whales depending on the season. Local driving only.
