Breakfast at hotel. Drive north through countryside to Hillerød to visit ornate Frederiksborg Castle/chapel in lakeside setting. View royal parklands at Fredensborg Castle (entrance not included), take scenic Strandvejen coastal road to Helsingør to explore UNESCO Kronborg Castle (Hamlet’s Castle).

Afternoon drive to Esbjerg for Man Meets the Sea sculptures, take short ferry to Fanø Island (sandy beaches/villages).

Breakfast at hotel. Drive north through Jutland to Jelling to see famous Jelling Runestones (Viking heritage). Continue to Viborg to admire Northern Europe’s largest granite church. Drive to Aalborg to see Lindholm Høje Viking necropolis with stone formations revealing Iron Age/Viking burial culture.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive north to Jammer Bay region, stopping near Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse atop shifting sand dunes. Continue to Skagen (northernmost town, 19th-century painters’ light) where North Sea and Baltic Sea meet at Grenen. Walk beaches, browse local galleries and cafes.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive south along coast to Hobro to visit Viking Centre of Fyrkat (reconstructed fortress). Continue east to Aarhus (2nd-largest city): explore Aarhus Cathedral, stroll Latin Quarter, or visit Den Gamle By outdoor living history museum.

Breakfast at hotel. Take ferry from Aarhus across to Sjaelland Island (Odden) and drive final stretch to Copenhagen. Rest of day at leisure to revisit favourite sites, enjoy a relaxed café dinner, or take a final stroll along city streets.
