Arrive in Finnish Lapland, meet tour leader, and coach transfer to hotel in Rovaniemi (Santa Claus’s official hometown). Receive welcome orientation on winter safety and aurora viewing. Evening guided Northern Lights search by coach to a remote location with warm beverages.
Coach: Airport → Hotel (~10–20 km / 6–12 mi | ~15–30 mins).
Overnight: Rovaniemi hotel.
Breakfast. Transfer to a traditional husky farm: meet sled dogs, learn mushing traditions, and enjoy a husky sled ride through snow-covered forests. Free afternoon for optional snowmobiling or ice fishing. Guides monitor weather and solar conditions for optimal evening aurora viewing.
Coach: Local excursion transfers.
Overnight: Rovaniemi hotel.
Breakfast. Travel north by coach through forests and frozen rivers to Sámi homeland. Visit a traditional reindeer farm: learn indigenous herding culture from local Sámi hosts and enjoy a peaceful sleigh ride. Evening guided Northern Lights search or glass-roof cabin stay.
Coach: Rovaniemi → Saariselkä / Inari (~250 km / 155 mi | ~3 hrs).
Overnight: Saariselkä / Inari.
Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy a guided nature walk through Lapland’s silent wilderness. Optional activities: snowmobile safaris across frozen lakes, cross-country skiing, or visiting nearby national parks. Evening Northern Lights excursion arranged to optimal viewing spots.
Coach: Local activity transfers.
Overnight: Saariselkä / Inari.
