Drive from Helsinki (~230 km / ~3.5–4.5 hrs). Explore Porvoo’s old wooden town and red warehouses. Stop at Langinkoski Fishing Lodge, Kotka’s gardens or Vellamo museum, and optional historic sites like Hamina before arriving in Lappeenranta.
Overnight in Lappeenranta.
Breakfast at hotel. Explore 1721 Lappeenranta Fortress, its historic buildings, and learn about the Saimaa Canal. End the day with a 3-hour evening dinner cruise along Saimaa Canal and Lake Saimaa under the White Nights.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive via Punkaharju Ridge (~250 km / ~4–5 hrs). Visit Lusto Forest Museum and its arboretum. Continue to Joensuu to visit Museo Eliel and enjoy traditional Karelian cuisine and forest-inspired dining.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Koli National Park (~140 km round trip). Take in views of Lake Pielinen from Ukko-Koli Hill, learn about artists inspired by the landscape, and visit the Nature Centre before returning to Joensuu.

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Joensuu’s Market Place and Artisan’s Quarter. Drive to New Valamo Monastery in Heinävesi to explore Orthodox grounds (~230 km total / ~4 hrs). Continue to Puumala for a relaxed evening by Lake Saimaa.

Breakfast at hotel. Day at leisure on Lake Saimaa. Join an optional solar-powered Ecoboat safari to spot endangered Saimaa ringed seals in Puumala’s archipelago. Relax with resort bikes, rowing boats, or terrace lake views.
