If arriving early, explore nearby cobblestone streets, cozy squares, and sample local fare at canal-side restaurant.

Breakfast at hotel. Explore heart of Copenhagen: visit landmarks like Christiansborg Palace, City Hall Square, and stroll historic/modern design streets. See The Little Mermaid statue along waterfront and spend time at Tivoli Gardens (rides, gardens, entertainment). Compact center allows easy walking between coffee/lunch spots.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive west from Copenhagen to Roskilde (steeped in Viking history) to visit Viking Ship Museum and Roskilde Cathedral. Afternoon drive to Odense on Funen Island (birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen). Wander streets, enjoy dinner in town, and get a first glimpse of Odense’s charm.

Check into hotel, stretch legs at Moesgaard Museum (archaeological collections, striking architecture), and explore elegant Marselisborg Palace grounds.

Breakfast at hotel. Stroll Latin Quarter and Møllestien street, visit cathedral, and see ARoS Aarhus Art Museum’s rainbow-roof installation. Wander squares, stop at cafés for lunch, shop local boutiques, and finish with a memorable dinner in town before another comfortable night in Aarhus.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive north toward Aalborg, stopping en route in Nørresundby to explore Vikingemuseet Lindholm Høje (Viking/Iron Age archaeological site/museum). Upon reaching Aalborg, stroll waterfront, visit Aalborg Zoo, or take in views from Aalborgtårnet.

Breakfast at hotel. Drive north to Kandestederne area to see Råbjerg Mile (migrating sand dune). Continue to Skagen (northernmost town where Baltic & North Seas meet). Afternoon exploring Skagens Museum, wandering marina, or enjoying coastal vibes and light that inspired artists.
Overnight in Skagen.
Breakfast at hotel. Drive back to Copenhagen via scenic stops: Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse atop shifting sands, coastal villages, and Helsingør’s historic waterfront. Arrive in Copenhagen in evening, check into hotel, and enjoy dinner in the city on your final night on the road.

Breakfast at hotel. Optional visit to Rosenborg Castle or last-minute shopping in town. Drive to Copenhagen Airport, return rental car, and depart home with wonderful memories from your Danish road adventure. End tour.
