Pick up car and drive south coast: walk behind Seljalandsfoss, visit 60m Skógafoss. Optional glacier hike, snowmobile, or ATV tour at Sólheimajökull. Watch for Northern Lights.
Overnight in Kirkjubæjarklaustur area.
Explore Skaftafell in Vatnajökull NP (optional guided glacier hike). Visit Fjallsárlón lagoon, Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon to see icebergs, and sparkling ice at Diamond Beach.

Drive south coast: visit Vík black sand beaches, 120m Dyrhólaey arch, and Reynisdrangar basalt columns (caution: rogue waves!). Optional Lava Center in Hvolsvöllur.

Drive Golden Circle to Reykjavík: visit Kerið crater, Geysir area’s mud pots/geysers, Gullfoss waterfall, and Þingvellir National Park (UNESCO site). Return to Reykjavík for an overnight stay.
Overnight Reykjavik.
Conclude your trip with an optional visit to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa to relax in mineral waters before heading to Keflavík Airport. Return your self-drive rental car directly at the airport.
