Arrival at Ålesund Airport: collect luggage and pick up rental vehicle for self-drive trip.
Drive to Ålesund city and check into hotel for two nights. Explore Art Nouveau architecture, scenic harbour, and coastal charm at leisure.
Drive: ~20 km (~25 mins). Overnight in Ålesund.
Breakfast at hotel. Full day at leisure in Ålesund: stroll waterfront, visit local museums, or climb Aksla viewpoint for panoramic city, island, and fjord views.
Enjoy local dining in evening. Local exploration only. Overnight in Ålesund.
Breakfast at hotel. Drive toward Molde via Trollstigen National Tourist Route, past dramatic hairpin bends, waterfalls, and mountain viewpoints.
Pass through Åndalsnes before reaching coastal town of Molde on Romsdal Peninsula.
Drive: ~201 km (~4.5–5 hrs). Overnight in Molde.
Breakfast at hotel. Drive toward Bud fishing village (option to visit historic coastal fort). Drive world-famous Atlantic Road across bridges over open ocean to Geitøya harbor.
Park rental car at Geitøya (mandatory overnight parking). Take short passenger boat transfer to historic Håholmen fishing village island.
Drive: ~71 km (~1.5 hrs) + boat crossing. Overnight on Håholmen Island.
Breakfast at hotel. Full day at leisure on Håholmen Island.
Unwind with coastal walks, explore historic fishing community buildings, and enjoy ocean seascapes. Rental car remains parked at Geitøya harbor.
No driving. Overnight on Håholmen Island.
Breakfast at hotel. Take boat transfer from Håholmen back to Geitøya to collect parked rental car.
Drive to Kristiansund Airport (~39 km, ~45 mins). Return rental vehicle and depart.
End of tour.
