Arrival at Bergen Flesland Airport: collect luggage and pick up rental car for self-drive trip.
Drive into Bergen city centre to check in. Explore Bryggen (old wharf & UNESCO site), wooden houses, fish & flower market, and museums. Take Fløibanen funicular up Mount Fløyen for sweeping views of city and fjords.
Overnight in Bergen.
Breakfast at hotel. Start self-drive journey early heading to Voss (adventure capital) to visit Tvindefossen Waterfall.
Continue toward Sognefjord (Norway’s longest/deepest fjord), stopping at Aurlandsfjord and village of Flåm. Optional stop: Stegastein Viewpoint for panoramic views over Aurlandsfjord.
Drive: ~240 km / 150 mi (~5–6 hrs). Overnight in Sognefjord area.
Breakfast at hotel. Drive north along Lustrafjorden and Sognefjellsvegen tourist route past Jotunheimen National Park mountains. Stop in Lom to see the historic stave church.
Continue toward Dalsnibba (highest car-accessible fjord viewpoint) for views of Geirangerfjord, mountains, and Blåbreen glacier. Short drive to Geiranger.
Drive: ~230 km / 140 mi (~5–5.5 hrs). Overnight in Geiranger.
Breakfast at hotel. Relaxed day in Geiranger. Drive to Dalsnibba Skywalk for fjord, mountain, and glacier views. Stop at Flydalsjuvet Viewpoint.
Optional activities: afternoon hikes along local trails or visit Geiranger Chocolate Factory for a sweet treat.
Overnight in Geiranger.
Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Loen via a 65-minute car ferry through UNESCO Geirangerfjord past waterfalls: Seven Sisters, Friaren (Suitor), and Bridal Veil.
Upon arrival in Loen, explore the village or ride Loen Skylift up Mount Hoven for panoramic views of fjords and mountains.
Drive: ~80 km / 50 mi (~2 hrs including ferry). Overnight in Loen.
Breakfast at hotel. Visit green-blue Lovatnet Lake for a morning stroll/photos. Drive Gaularfjellet Scenic Route with 9 hairpin bends; stop at Utsikten Viewpoint for mountain/valley views.
Arrive in Balestrand. Optional activities: visit Cider House, short hikes, or relax by fjord.
Drive: ~190 km / 120 mi (~4–5 hrs). Overnight in Balestrand.
Breakfast at hotel. Relaxed morning in Balestrand exploring hiking trails or village. Take ferry across to Vangsnes and drive past Vik, stopping at Hove Church (oldest stone building in Sogn).
Continue through scenic landscapes and Voss en route to Bergen.
Drive: ~200 km / 120 mi (~5 hrs including ferry). Overnight in Bergen.
Breakfast at hotel. Spend final moments in Bergen strolling local shops, visiting a museum, or relaxing at a café.
When ready, drive to Bergen Airport (~20 km / 12 mi, ~30–40 mins), return rental car, and board departure flight.
End of tour.
